Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some frequently asked questions. Please call or email if you cannot find the answer to your question or would like any further information.

What is a Physiotherapist?

Physiotherapists are university trained and are experts in injury diagnosis, injury treatment, exercise prescription, injury prevention, rehabilitation and many other areas of sport and health and fitness.

What do I need to bring to my first appointment?

Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history. Please bring any x-rays/scans/MRI reports, referrals relating to your condition, and a list of current medications. If you have private insurance you will need your Health insurance card. Please bring your Medicare card if you are claiming using an EPC referral.

How many visits will I need?

The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. After a thorough assessment, the physiotherapist will discuss their treatment plan for the rehabilitation process.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Your physiotherapist will need to see the part of your body that requires assessment and treatment so we suggest you wear shorts &/or singlet top. We have towels and sheets to cover you if you should feel uncomfortable at any time.

Do I need a referral from a Doctor?

You do not require a Doctor’s referral to see a physio unless you will be claiming through Veterans Affairs, Workcover, Medicare EPC program or CTP or accident insurance.

Do you do Home Visits?

Yes, we will visit you at home if required. Please contact reception for further information. Home visits will incur an extra charge.

How do I pay?

We appreciate payment at the time of your appointment by cash or EFTPOS. We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express. If you have private health insurance, our clinic uses HICAPS which will allow you to claim the rebate on the spot through your fund. In most cases, there will be a gap fee which can be settled at the time of service.

Workcover and CTP claims can be billed directly to the insurer where there is a current claim number.
